چکیده
Abstract Murujuga in Western Australia has the largest concentration of ancient rock engravings (petroglyphs) world. However, art is potentially threatened by local industrial air pollution, particular acid rain, but unambiguous scientific evidence still missing. Here, we report on results an accelerated weathering experiment, simulating weather and climate conditions that was designed performed to test whether expected small changes chemical, mineralogical, physical characteristics surface can be detected reliably quantified various analytical means. Locally acquired granophyre gabbro samples with natural varnish were artificially weathered for up four months a chamber under simulated 2 years weathering. Mineralogical, qualitatively monitored X-ray diffraction confocal Raman spectroscopy, colorimetry, portable fluorescence spectrometry, micro-computed tomography. In addition, artificial rainwater sprinkled over collected analysed inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry. The show significant chemical surfaces after 1 month demonstrate it possible quantitatively monitor caused granophyre. Therefore, such semi-actualistic experimental approach, when carefully designed, allows testing hypothesis rate petroglyphs increased pollution. Further work currently way.

An Economic Analysis of Management Options in the Western Rock Lobster Fishery of Western Australia
The Western Rock Lobster Fishery, which is located on the lower west coast of Western Australia, is the largest rock lobster fishery in any county. It supports about 550 lobster fishing boats and has an average annual catch of 11,000 tonnes valued at about $AUD250 million. The sustainability of the fishery is maintained by limiting total allowable effort (TAE), managed through an individually t...

Rhizobium sp. H41 isolated from weathered tuff can weather tuff and release Fe, Si, and Al from the rock under nutrient-poor conditions. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of strain H41, which may facilitate a better understanding of the molecular mechanism involved in rock weathering by the bacterium.

The mineralogy and geochemistry of Paleocene shales and interbedded siltstones in the southwestern of Ahar town (NW Iran) were studied by optical microscopy, XRD, SEM, XRF, and ICP-MS techniques. The mineralogical composition, mainly characterized by calcite, quartz, feldspar, dolomite, muscovite, magnesiohornblende, chlorite, illite, montmorionite, palygorskite, and koninckite, suggests relati...
